Smokehill BBQ has closed it's doors after more than three years in the community.

n three years in the Damascus community. A note on their Facebook page read as follows:

As we are sure some of you may have figured out, we made the very difficult decision to close our doors at Smokehill BBQ.

It has been our pleasure to serve the Damascus community and beyond for the last 3 1/2 years.

Please do not speculate or start rumors as to why we have chosen to close our doors. This was a deeply personal decision to make, and we did not make it lightly or in haste.

We work 7 days a week and spend more time at the restaurant than with our family. The desire for more of a 'work life balance' weighed heavy, and we could no longer ignore it.

We apologize for the abrupt nature of our closing, but we feel it was the right thing to do for our family.
